H2OS started with a bottle we were embarrassed to look inside.

It was a good bottle. Stainless steel, kept water cold, went everywhere with us. It also hadn't been properly cleaned in weeks, because nobody scrubs a water bottle every day. When we finally shone a torch into it, we stopped drinking from it.

We went looking for a bottle that solved that on its own, and the ones that came close were either built cheaply, or asked you to keep a second app open all day. So we made one.

What H2OS actually does

The lid has a UV-C light built into it. One tap and it sterilises the inside of the bottle. No brush, no tablets, no chemicals, nothing to remember.

The body is 316L medical-grade stainless steel, the same grade used in surgical instruments, so it doesn't stain or hold odours the way cheaper steel does. Double-wall vacuum insulation keeps water cold for up to 24 hours.

A small display in the lid shows the water temperature when you tap it, and the lid glows when you've gone too long without a drink. Connect it to the H2OS app over Bluetooth and it tracks what you drink through the day. Use the app if you want the numbers. Ignore it and the bottle still works.
